SUZ TUNG ART 

Suzy is a visual artist based in Sonoma, California. Her work is rooted in a representational style, using vibrant color and expressive form to capture the quiet beauty of everyday moments. From the gentle curve of a flower’s petal to the warmth of a shared meal, her paintings invite viewers to pause, look closely, and connect with the richness woven into daily life.

Originally from New Orleans, Suzy moved to San Francisco in 1988 then onto Sonoma in 2011.  She began her artistic journey through online pastel classes during the Covid outbreak in 2021, which gradually led to a deeper exploration of art mediums. As her interest grew, she pursued further instruction in 2023 to refine her technique and discovered a more personal, expressive creative voice in painting along the way.

Outside the studio, Suzy is passionate about helping with rescue dogs.  She enjoys assisting at adoption events, helping connect rescue dogs with new families. The emotional transformations she witnesses from fear to trust echo the themes of care, presence, and renewal that often surface in her art.

 Inspired by the peaceful atmosphere and natural beauty of Sonoma, Suzy continues to draw from her surroundings of blooming gardens, animals, landscapes, and the quiet moments of daily life as she develops her body of work.
